Every Politician Should Dress Like Kevin Spacey In House of Cards

From Esquire by Max Berlinger -

In the Netflix series House of Cards, Kevin Spacey plays a bad, bad man. But he's a mighty fine dresser.

As Frank Underwood, he's not dressing like a member of One Direction or an actor on the red carpet, because that's not what he is. He's dressing to suit (heh) the needs of his job, and on Capitol Hill not many people need to traffic in trendiness. See, when you take the political stage, everything you do is seemingly fraught with meaning, so Underwood errs on the side of classic—almost dull. Solid, somber colors. But the cut is where he really gets it right. Sure, it helps to have a costume designer making sure these things are just so, but most of the guys who are in similar positions in real life could stand to learn a thing or two from the show. Get the fit right, and go easy on the rest. So if you're a guy who wants to dress well but not look like a slave to fashion, we suggest this: Dress like Frank Underwood, don't behave like him.
